In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic impelled a transformation in institutes of higher education, which also had to quickly step up their use of digital tools. In an unprecedented context, IT and digital expansions have enabled educators and post-secondary faculty to pursue their mission, reinvent themselves and innovate.
In May 2018, Quebec adopted a Digital Action Plan for Education and Higher Education. This action plan was a catalyst for institutes of higher education to work jointly and resulted in the organization of the first symposium entitled Numérique 2018. The second symposium, Numérique 2020, took place during the pandemic. Numérique 2022 will be an opportunity to take stock of the four years since the launch of the Digital Action Plan and the two years since the start of the pandemic. But above all, the aim of this symposium is to prepare for the future.
It is in such a context that this symposium is organized by HEC Montréal, with financial support from the gouvernement du Québec, in association with the Fédération des cégeps, Université TÉLUQ, Polytechnique Montréal, Université du Québec, Université de Montréal and Université de Sherbrooke.
